Rain, I always feel, expresses a tale of love –an incomparable
‘love story’ of Water and Earth. Somewhere in seclusion, they used to live
together in their little flourished hut.
Only love bounded them, until fierce Sun desolated their world. They tried to fight him, to outwit him, to quash him.... but they were too dim
against Sun's outrage. In the end, they had to concede defeat and Water was been caged. She began
waiting at the gate of final frontier in hope to be with her love
one day.
Days passed, months passed, years passed! Their memory of love
started expunging. Bit by bit, they were being pushed towards the doorway of death.
And then, a moment embraced them with joy. Water regained her
strength and eluded Sun outright.
Rain, apparently, is that magical moment when Sun turns faded
before the power of real-love. It shows how love can sail through any evil ordeal of our infinity.
It let us witness how Water embraces Earth in her veil of
affection, how their love making births ponds, oceans, rivers…
I know my metaphorical tale is absolutely blase. But the
truth is we all love rain. Don’t we?
