Being Nobody

Let's begin with a cliche - I am a nobody who dreams of being somebody. I have fours elder brothers and one sister. And they have set a high bar of expectation for me.
Someone told me once "Being the youngest child in a family is like having luscious dinner at a five-star hotel every night." Well, it's not that cushy. I tell you why.

Reason No one: Secondhand gets your new label. Clothes, shoes, toys and all the jazz come to you, after sucked up by your upper siblings.
Reason No two: You only learn to respect. Respect parents, respect brothers, respect sisters... How to adore someone, you will never get to know. Until you bump into that special someone.
Reason No three: You are always hailed as "Kid" even after turning 20. "kid, don't do it.", "kid, it's not for you.", "kid, stop being wally.". For god sake, stop calling me that, I'm not a kid anymore. At least call me 'lad' or something. Believe it or not, I've gained that oomph now,  to bring a new kid out in life.
And finally Reason No four: The biggest mistake is - you've been late to come out. Basically, you've lost the toss and every time you have to go second for batting. Already a gigantic score has been set for you. and all you have to do - chase it.
Chase to your sister's achievements. Chase your brother's finest cricket career. But never chase your dream. Well, no one actually cares to know what your dream is. No one has ever cared to know what my dream was.
I wonder if anyone knows me actually.....Doesn't matter. I don't give a monkey's. I know who I am! I'm a bloody nobody who lives in a titchy continent of this enormous planet and still dreams of being somebody.....ONE DAY.
